Miura Water Treatment Lab - for water quality testing

Our Water Treatment team live by the motto ‘water is the lifeblood of a boiler’ and key to taking proper care of your boiler and water treatment systems is proper water testing. Miura Canada has our own Water Treatment Lab located at our Mississauga office for complete and accurate water quality testing. To give consistent and accurate results our water lab is furnished with the latest equipment and our lab also adheres to a stringent quality control protocol developed by Miura Japan.

On a regular basis, our water treatment specialists collect samples on site from our customer’s boiler systems. The data from the site tests is meticulously filled, and additional samples are returned to the lab for further analysis. Customers outside our technician’s boundaries can also send us water samples monthly using our pre-paid sampling kit. The kit includes easy-to-follow instructions, labels and sampling bottles. This service allows our customers from across Canada to have their samples professionally analyzed on regular basis, aiding in early detection of any problem with the boiler and ensuring that their boiler system operates at peak efficiency. Lab reports are prepared monthly and distributed to each customer. The report also specifies whether the results of the analysis are within or outside the acceptable range so maintenance steps can be arranged.

The water lab at Miura performs technically proficient analytical water quality testing on different water samples from the boiler site. All water samples are tested for pH, conductivity, M-alkalinity, chloride, hardness, silica, and iron, among other things. All the tests are performed to ensure that the concentrations are maintained, and that corrosion and scale are avoided. Specialty testing of metals such as Aluminum, zinc, copper as well as other inorganic ions, is also available upon request. For cooling towers and closed loop systems, bacterial growth and other corrosive ions are also tested.
